Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was important for many reasons. Before Julius Caesar was a senator, the Rome senate was a disaster. But Julius Caesar was a strong leader, and he fixed Rome. When his time as a senator ended, he somehow became the third consul. When the year was over, Julius Caesar became governor of Gaul. When he captured Western Europe, Caesar became one of the most popular men in Rome. Then he was ordered to leave his army and come back to Rome. But Caesar did not. Instead, he ignored the Senate and fought with Pompey's army. After the battle, Caesar took over Italy and Pompey hid in Greece. Then Pompey fled to Egypt. When Caesar went to Egypt, Ptolemy XIII gave Pompey's head to Caesar.
